Voice of the Customer: from dashboard to product module
Voice of the Customer helps organizations identify recurring themes across customer conversations and inspect the interactions behind those trends.
I owned and delivered the frontend for VoC 1.0 and 1.5, working across pods with the Analytics team responsible for the backend. These releases established the product foundation and informed the next iteration.
For VoC 2.0, I led the frontend effort from planning and design discussions through production. I reworked the frontend data flow so VoC could operate as an independent module instead of a component within a larger dashboard. After launch, I continued improving performance, helped remove substantial legacy code, and mentored a junior engineer working within the new architecture.
Outcomes
- Established the frontend foundation across three major releases.
- Helped turn VoC into a standalone, marketable product module.
- Received positive customer feedback on the modular redesign.
- Introduced a more scalable frontend structure for future development.
- Reduced legacy complexity and created a cleaner base for subsequent work.
